Goodbye Summer, Hello School

Tomorrow is the first day of my last year of college!

3 weeks ago when summer school ended, I kept saying that I wished the fall semester would go ahead and start! All summer long I had been doing homework every night and worrying about all of my classes so that when they were over, I just didn't know what to do with myself.

Don't worry, I filled my time with lots catching up on sleep, watching Lifetime movies, and just being generally lazy.

I really fell in love with that kind of life....

And now school has to go and ruin it! 

Oh well, only 105 days until Christmas break.

Also happening tomorrow...

I get to ORDER MY AGGIE RING!

If only I could get it tomorrow instead of in November! 

I guess a good lesson in patience won't hurt though.

Scissor Happy

I have wanted to make a change to my hair for a while now...but I was thinking more of cutting it to my shoulders. I showed my hairdresser the picture, told her where I wanted it...and put my poor innocent hair in her hands.

When she made the first cut I was okay.

But then came the second, third and fourth cuts and I began to internally hyperventilate.

My hairdresser is a great friend of mine, but she talks way too much and doesn't really pay that much attention. So there I was, mentally bawling my eyes out and just hoping all would be well in the end. She just kept snipping and talking and telling me how cute it was going to be and how much I was going to loooove it.

"No lady, I'm not. Can't you tell by the lack of color in my face?!"

When she was finally done, I nearly passed out. I have never done anything so drastic to my hair.

Minus a 6th grade chili-bowl. But who wants to re-live that?!
I just pretend it didn't happen.

Anyways, it wasn't terrible by any means, she did a good job...on whatever she was trying to achieve.

But my dreams of ponytails and airdrying my hair went up in smoke right in front of my eyes.

After I was able to calm myself down though, I have decided that this haircut isn't going to be so bad. I actually like it and after-all wasn't change what I was going for?

Plus...it's only hair and it will grow back. So anyways...here it is!

I think it's starting to grow on me. HAHA literally!
But seriously, I think I'm going to like it just fine!

Happy Birthday Little Man!

My baby brother is turning 16 today! I can't believe it, I still think of him as the white-headed 4 year old with a lisp! He's grown into such a great guy and even though we still have to remind him to use that brain of his every now and then....I am so proud to call him my brother!

Summer Vacation!

SCHOOL IS OFFICIALLY O-V-E-R! I don't know what to do with myself! I don't remember the last time I was able to come home in the afternoon and not have to study or worry about finishing something before a deadline! I must say, it feels AH-MAZING!

Plus...the EVEN better news is that I passed everything. (Yes it was questionable) But anyways, this means that I get my AGGIE RING!!! I absolutely cannot wait for November 13th!

Now just to start training for the dunk! Ahem...Kristofer!

Anyways, as if my last week of school wasn't busy enough, it was also move-in for my new condo! It was stressful but luckily my parents helped out by packing up all of my stuff from home and bringing it down for me!

The first week of living in my new apartment was quite an adjustment for me. The ever-wonderful Suddenlink (kidding) couldn't install my cable and internet until the Friday AFTER I moved in. Not really an ideal situation for my last week in an online class. But on the bright side, I got LOTS of extra sleep. I think I was in bed by 10:30 every night! I don't remember the last time that happened. Also, I got my money's worth in student computer lab fees because I spent a lot of my afternoons in the school computer lab.

So...here are some pictures of my apartment just after I moved in! It looks a little better now because my roommate Kyle brought an entertainment center for the living room, but sadly I still have plastic boxes as a TV stand in my bedroom.

Another fun part of getting a new apartment is the shopping!A few weeks ago, mom ordered me a new comforter for my bed and had it shipped to the College Station mall. I went to go pick it up this weekend and they informed that it had been back-ordered and wouldn't be ready until like August 21st! That was lame because I didn't want to have to sleep without covers! So I decided to try and find another one. My Momma-Too (grandma) had given me a couple of Macy's giftcards for Christmas and so I decided to start there. I didn't know how much the cards had on them but I figured every little bit helps! First, I found these 500! thread-count sheets that were originally $160 but they were on sale for $45.00! So I thought this was a pretty good price for what I was getting and I decided to buy them. I handed the cashier my giftcard and she handed it back saying that I still had $2.00 on it! How awesome! Thanks for the sheets Momma Too! But it gets even better! I also found a comforter that I really liked and decided to buy it as well. Thinking the other giftcard would have the same amount on it, I handed it over only to be told that my total was $6.15. Turns out, that card had $100 on it! So to say the least I was extremely happy with these purchases and I absolutely love going to sleep at night knowing the deal I got!

Math makes my head hurt

I still don't have internet at my new condo so no pictures yet. Maybe this weekend!!

However, I am working on studying for my math final and need a break. SO I have something fun to do!
